Health & Safety Advisor Service |
The Health and Safety Advisor Service provides clients with a number of core support services which allow key Health and Safety objectives to be met. The Health and Safety Advisor Service is available only to SME clients who meet laid-down criteria and are willing to enter into a unique partnership with ourselves. It is only through this unique partnership arrangement that we are able to provide such a comprehensive and unrivalled service.
The Health and Safety Advisor Service is aimed at employers who need competent advice and assistance but do not have their own in-house Health and Safety specialists. In effect your own Health and Safety Department. We provide the following services as part of the overall Service:
Priority Service – the unique partnership arrangement allows us to provide a priority service to a limited number of clients per allocated Advisor;
Telephone and E-mail advice and assistance – unlimited telephone and e-mail support (24 hours access) will be available from our chartered Health and Safety professionals – let our team search and find the accurate information you need, saving you time and effort;
Assistance with Reportable Accidents and Illnesses – we will prepare and file all necessary statutory reports (F2508/F2508a) with the HSE or Local Enforcing Authority on your behalf and undertake any follow-up and further liaison work accordingly;
Safety Management System (SMS) Development and Review – we will develop a tailored SMS (implied requirement of Regulation 5 - Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and review its content regularly;
Health and Safety Legal Compliance Review – we will undertake a review and “gap analysis” of all relevant statutory requirements in order to develop a straight-forward improvement programme for yourselves. This programme with be central to achieving full legal compliance and adding value to your business;
Assistance with Risk Assessments – we will provide the necessary knowledge, skills and tools to allow clients to meet all their risk assessment requirements and keep the required records/evidence (an explicit requirement of Regulation 3 - Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999);
Use of Sigma Risk Management Name – clients will be entitled to use and display our name and issued certificate to demonstrate that they have appointed a competent source of assistance (as required by Regulation 7 - Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1998);
News Briefing Service – we will provide clients with concise news and information on health and safety matters as part of our special News Briefing Service;
Discounted Consultancy Fees – all clients who receive the Health and Safety Advisor Service will be entitled to a 25% reduction on our standard fee rates for any additional (non-core) consultancy services that we provide.
The Health and Safety Advisor package includes an agreed allocation of a Chartered Safety Practitioner’s time in your workplace during the contract period in order to provide the specified services. This can be expanded as required to further assist with your core requirements (eg. SMS development, legal compliance, risk assessments, delivery of improvement programme etc).
Additional services provided (eg. specific training, detailed risk assessments, accident investigation etc) are charged additionally against a discounted fee structure. The fee for the Health and Safety Advisor Service is spread over the contract period at no additional cost to yourselves even though most of the allocated Advisor time may be used at the start of the contract period.
